AIDSbeat Committee AIDSbeat, CANFAR's Legal Community Battle of the Bandsť, is the rock 'n' roll event where paralegals, lawyers and judges alike hang up their robes to become drummers, roadies and committee members. The committee works on all aspects of developing the event including sponsorship, raffles, graphic design, auditions, ticket sales and logistics. Bloor Street Entertains Committee Bloor Street Entertains is CANFAR's flagship gala event. The organizing committee and sub-committees handle all aspects of this logistically challenging and unique event. Every skill set is needed on this committee and new volunteers are always welcome. CANFAR Club University Committees Start a CANFAR Club at your university or college today! CANFAR Clubs throw fundraising and HIV/AIDS awareness building events on campus. CANFAR Clubs do everything from bake sales, to red ribbon campaigns, to the hottest campus parties – all in the name of AIDS research. Communications and Marketing Committee The Communications and Marketing Committee is made up of professionals ranging from graphic designers, public relations specialists, website developers, branding gurus to TV directors. The committee takes the central role in developing key messages and branding opportunities for CANFAR. Have a Heart Advisory Committee The Have a Heart Advisory Committee is an ad hoc committee which provides expertise and direction for CANFAR's school-based fundraising and awareness program. The members provide valuable expertise in the areas of HIV/AIDS youth education, awareness building efforts, school leadership and program design. Pride Parade and Booth Committee The Pride Parade and Booth Committee come together to raise money in order to pull together both a fabulous float and money-making booth at Toronto's Pride Parade. Job requirements: Hammer wielding, glitter application, body paint optional. Added benefits: Each member has the option to dance on the float in front of 1,000,000 spectators! |
