The Chairman’s Award recognizes an individual or organization that has made an outstanding commitment in support of CANFAR, and whose commitment has resulted in an increased awareness of, and/or financial contribution to CANFAR. Recipient: Patti MacNicol The Heart Award is presented to the school that has demonstrated outstanding dedication and community spirit, while raising research funds and HIV/AIDS awareness among their peers. Recipient: Earl Haig Secondary School The Award for Innovation is presented to a corporation or an individual who has developed an innovative approach to either fundraising or raising awareness of HIV and AIDS. Recipient: Medcan Health Management
The CANFAR Event Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated extraordinary commitment to fundraising for HIV and AIDS research by planning or coordinating a CANFAR event. Recipient: Kim Roberts
The Executive Director’s Award recognizes an individual or organization that has made an outstanding contribution to CANFAR through the provision of pro-bono services, or who excelled beyond the normal responsibilities of the volunteer position and has devoted an inordinate amount of time and effort to CANFAR. Recipient: Dr. StanleyRead
The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to the individual who has committed his or her time and energy to help fulfill CANFAR’s mandate and has demonstrated outstanding leadership, commitment and dedication. Recipient: Gord Capern
